Staff Bios Co-Owner, Micki Poissant, has been an animal lover since childhood. Micki is a responsible and dependable person with experience in animal care and ownership of turtles, birds (parakeets, cockatiels, love birds, canaries), dogs (large, medium and small breeds), cats, guinea pigs, mice, and horses. Micki presently has 2 dogs (a border collie and a shiba inu) and enjoys teaching obedience training to those interested in basic dog training or puppy training. She is also an active person and has participated in several triathelons, marathons, cycling events, and 5k and 10k events in various states and here locally. 
Co-Owner, Mike Ziegler, has also been an animal lover since childhood. Mike holds the position of Lieutenant with the Westminster Fire Department for more than 30 years. He is also a Loss Prevention Officer with a well-known retail store and has been doing that work in conjunction with his full-time job as a fire fighter for 25 years. For a few years while holding down his 2 jobs, Mike was on the Sheriff's Department as well. Mike has cared and owned several pets over the years, including pot-bellied pigs, sugar gliders (flying squirrel), and dogs (Akitas, Huskies and Malamutes, Shiba Inus). His dedication to the community and his dedication to the fire department has earned him several awards with the fire department (Mike saved a fellow fire fighter's life a few years ago). Mike is also a certified instructor in pet first aid with CPR for Canines. |
